1. Information We Collect

We collect:

• Account info: Email address, phone number (optional)
• Name: First and last name (used for tee time reservations when Auto-Book is enabled)
• Watch preferences: Courses, dates, times, and group sizes you set
• Payment info: Processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card number
• Usage data: Alerts sent, courses watched, basic analytics

2. How We Use Your Information

• Send you tee time alerts via email or SMS
• Process payments for paid plans
• Improve the service and fix bugs
• Send important service updates (not marketing spam)
• Create accounts on third-party booking platforms to facilitate Auto-Book reservations
• Book tee times on your behalf when Auto-Book is enabled

3. SMS Communications

If you opt in to SMS alerts by providing your phone number and checking the consent box in your account dashboard:

• We will send automated text messages about tee time availability matching your watch preferences
• Message frequency varies based on your settings and tee time availability
• You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message
• Reply HELP for support information
• Message and data rates may apply
• Your phone number is used solely for delivering BirdiePing alerts and is not shared with third parties for marketing
• We use Twilio as our SMS delivery provider
• Your consent to receive SMS is not required to use BirdiePing

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — email delivery
• Twilio — SMS delivery
• Chronogolf (Lightspeed Golf) — tee time booking platform. When Auto-Book is enabled, we share your name and email to create a booking account and make reservations on your behalf.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. Alert history is kept for 90 days. You can request account deletion by contacting us.

6. Security

We use HTTPS encryption, secure password hashing, and follow industry best practices. However, no system is 100% secure.

7. Third-Party Booking Accounts

When you enable the Auto-Book feature, BirdiePing creates and manages an account on your behalf with supported booking platforms (currently Chronogolf/Lightspeed Golf). This account is:

• Created using your BirdiePing email address and name
• Managed entirely by BirdiePing — you do not need to interact with it
• Used solely for the purpose of booking tee times matching your watch preferences
• Subject to the booking platform's own terms of service and privacy policy

You may request deletion of any third-party accounts created on your behalf by disabling Auto-Book or contacting us.

8. Cookies

We use minimal cookies for authentication (JWT tokens stored in your browser). No third-party tracking cookies.

9. Your Rights

You can access, update, or delete your account data at any time. Contact us for data export or deletion requests.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. We'll notify you of significant changes via email.
